Last Years of Hezekiah’s Reign

“Hezekiah must truly have won God’s favor by his earlier reforms of worship in Judah, for when it comes time for him to die, his prayer for longer life is answered by an extension of 15 years.  Even that most unusual gesture is confirmed by another equally amazing miracle: God turns back the shadow on a stairway-type sun dial.

Hezekiah is forced for a time to pay tribute to Sennacherib, before God miraculously causes the deaths of thousands of Assyrian troops and forces Sennacherib to return home in disgrace.”
