The youth in our church amaze me and I am so thankful to have them in my life. They inspire me to love God harder, to live life boldly, and never take for granted all God has given.
Growing up not knowing Christ, I was able to do pretty much whatever I wanted, and I truly don’t understand what it must be like for them; all the pressures in high school and figuring things out, while trying to fit in coupled with the stigma of being a “Bible thumper“?
Nope, can’t imagine.
But the excitement they have and the way they unashamedly live for Christ and want to grow more closely to Him is amazing, and makes me want to be better.
God blessed me by placing a beautiful young lady in my life. He has not only allowed me to mentor her, but I am able to watch how a teenager, in love with Christ, lives for Him and deals with the drama of high school… and she truly leaves me in awe.
Hayley turns sweet 16 today.
“He has filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer.” Exodus 35:35
