My phone is not that good, but check out the picture I took the other day:
“Behold, you have made my days a few handbreadths, and my lifetime is as nothing before you. Surely all mankind stands as a mere breath! Selah” Â Psalm 39:5

“The Best Camera is the one that’s with you.” – Chase Jarvis
“Gear is good.  Vision is better.” – David duChemin
The other day I borrowed my husband’s iPhone 4S, so that I could listen to a live streaming of a photography class while going for a run at the same time.  Ironically, I hardly listened to the class as I kept stopping to take pictures of the sun setting in the distance.  It made me remember these inspirational words above by Chase Jarvis & David duChemin. I think it’s so easy to get caught up in the idea that you need the best equipment to take great photos.  Of course, it doesn’t hurt to have great equipment, but on my own photographic journey, I have learned that what moves you to take the photo in the first place matters so much more. Such a cool capture — I’ve never seen a sunflower like that !
surprisingly, it’s a daisy… my boys had popped the heads off of some of my daisies, and one had made it’s way on our porch, leaning against our door mat. I left it there, and day after day it dried up…and I couldn’t wait to take the picture…with my phone, up close. (well, as up close as I could.) 🙂
